Service Description

Baby Catcher, PLLC strives to help you make your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys that you can cherish for a lifetime. We want you to experience a supportive, comforting environment that is grounded in quality evidence-based midwifery care. We respect birth as a sacred rite of passage, we support its natural pace and trust your body’s power to go through the process of labor and birth without interruptions or rushing it with unnecessary interventions. Parents are encouraged to be the first to touch the baby's head as it emerges and we are silent so that the first voices the baby hears are that of the parents. We wait for the placenta to emerge before clamping the umbilical cord so that the baby can reap the benefits of improved iron stores. Because of their calming and beneficial physiological effects and the priceless bonding that begins, we also encourage skin to skin contact and breastfeeding. Water Birth We offer water births in the comfort of your own home or at one of the affiliated birth centers. We affectionately call water births “Aquadurals” because they’ve been proven to decrease labor pain or your need for anesthesia. Water births are known to reduce the chances of perineal trauma, help with energy conservation by decreasing the length of labor and giving you a greater sense of control.
